About The Position

Our VIVA Cornwall Dental Center is currently looking for a dental receptionist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position, working 5 days a week, including one evening shift on Mondays and two Saturdays a month. As a dental receptionist, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a wonderful team of dental professionals, learn in a stimulating environment, and have access to continuous online training. We are open to welcoming dental hygiene students who would like to gain clinical experience and take their first steps in the dental field. Our purpose is to provide the best care for our patients. Requirements

Minimum 1 year of administration experience
Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

Clinical background and experience with dental software programs considered an asset
Open to welcoming dental hygiene students who would like to gain clinical experience

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients as they arrive, ensuring a lasting positive impression for them
Responsible for optimizing the appointment schedule by ensuring the day is full, with limited gaps
Effectively manage recall system and accurately maintain patient database
Manage patient calls and inquiries about appointments, confirmations, amendments and cancellations
Process referral letters and other patient correspondence upon receipt from provider; manage and file all patient records and charts
