About The Position

This position will greet dental patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform other front desk activities.

Knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
Knowledge of basic dental terminology.
High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.
Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.
High school diploma or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience.
0 to 1 year of related experience.
Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.

Associate’s degree or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Greet patients upon arrival, collect necessary information, and get patients checked in.
Receive phone calls, screen, and direct calls.
Schedule appointments, coordinate with staff, and facilitate appointment cancellations and rescheduling requests.
Verify patient insurance information.
Receive payments, complete daily cash flow, and log sheets.
Complete eligibility interviews to determine payment method.
Complete office administrative tasks.
Order and maintain front desk supplies.
File documents and follow record retention policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
