About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Dental Receptionist at the Jackson location. While dental office experience is preferred, the role offers on-the-job training for those interested in becoming a Dental Assistant. The successful candidate must embody the Rural Health Group Core Competencies, including good judgment, communication, teamwork, passion, honesty, responsibility, and a relevant job-specific skill set for a Dental Receptionist.

Requirements

  • Experience (front and/or back) in a dental office.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.
  • Possess knowledge of modern office equipment, Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Ability to efficiently learn eCW.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Federal and State Criminal Background Checks and Drug Screen required.
  • E-Verify compliance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.
  • Potential for on the job training to become a Dental Assistant if desired.
  • CPR certification (training provided after hire if not certified).

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill the responsibilities of a Dental Receptionist.
  • Establish and maintain positive, effective, professional relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and superiors.
  • Respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Work independently and demonstrate excellent teamwork skills.
  • Translate if serving in a translating capacity (requires language assessment).
