About The Position
Pediatric Dentistry of Bronx is seeking a warm, organized, and experienced Dental Assistant to join their energetic and supportive pediatric dental team. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about helping children, who enjoys a team-oriented environment, and is fluent in Spanish. The role involves ensuring every child has a positive dental experience and helping build lifelong healthy habits in a supportive, kid-friendly atmosphere that values teamwork, respect, and quality patient care.
Requirements
- 1+ year of dental assisting experience or a dental assisting certification
- Spanish-speaking required
- Calm, reliable, and confident with young patients
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience preferred
- X-ray license strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists chairside during procedures and exams
- Escorting patients to treatment rooms and preparing them for care
- Taking X-rays and maintaining a clean, sterile workspace
- Reviewing patient medical histories and entering treatment notes
- Helping with front desk tasks and improving patient flow
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients and families in both English and Spanish
- Maintaining inventory and ensuring clinical supplies are stocked and ready
