Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of dental office experience
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and dental management software (such as Athena Health)
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License
  • Nitrous oxide sedation monitoring certification

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient appointment scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling with accuracy and professionalism
  • Conduct proactive patient outreach to remind patients of upcoming appointments and follow up on missed visits
  • Answer and route multiple telephone lines efficiently, documenting messages accurately and ensuring timely follow-up
  • Welcome and check in patients, ensuring complete and accurate registration documentation
  • Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics; identify patients who qualify for financial assistance programs and Sliding Fee Discounts
  • Process patient checkout, document follow-up appointments, and maintain organized medical records
  • Collect co-payments and process cash transactions with accuracy and integrity
  • Handle copying, faxing, and other administrative duties to support smooth office operations
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and contribute to team meetings
