The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dental office, supporting the doctor and staff in delivering the best possible patient care. This role ensures fundamental systems and protocols are in place, allowing the doctor to focus on dentistry. The manager will supervise the on-site laboratory, regulating quality of work, production, and maintenance. They will also supervise the office team, managing scheduling, patient flow, office cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements like OSHA and HIPAA. Responsibilities include dental team development, fostering positive relationships, managing schedules to meet daily goals, motivating team members, and proactively seeking practice improvements. The role involves managing all front and back-office tasks, including daily operations, employee and patient relations, performance management, and achieving operational goals. Revenue goals are to be achieved by overseeing patient scheduling, staff productivity, and treatment planning coordination. The Office Manager will work with the Doctor and patients to ensure treatment plan completion, address patient barriers, alert the Doctor to clinical questions, and educate patients on insurance benefits and payment options. Resolving patient complaints professionally and other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
