About The Position

Dental Marketing Specialist Sacramento Area The Marketing Specialist serves as a regional growth strategist responsible for strengthening referral partnerships and driving measurable business results across 14 practices in the Sacramento market. This role combines relationship management, business analytics, marketing strategy, and operational alignment to support sustained specialty practice growth. Unlike practice-level marketing roles, this position operates at a regional level, partnering with endodontists, Area/Regional Managers, Practice Managers, and marketing leadership to execute outreach initiatives that scale across multiple practices. The focus is on strategic relationship development, data-driven decision-making, and creating accountability through structured business reviews. This is not a recruiting role, it's a high-impact, outward-facing role that ensures our specialists remain trusted partners within the broader dental community.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in referral relations, healthcare/dental marketing, territory account management, or field-based business development.
  • Strong presentation abilities and comfort delivering data insights to multi-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking KPIs, analyzing ROI, and adjusting strategy based on measurable outcomes.
  • Strong planning, time management, and territory management skills.
  • Experience with digital presence management (Google Business, reputation management, website accuracy).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally within Sacramento area.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Relationship Development & Strategic Field Engagement
  • Build and sustain referral relationships with general dentists across the Sacramento area.
  • Develop territory plans to prioritize high-value, emerging, and at-risk referral partners.
  • Facilitate high-level introductions between SDP endodontists, periodontists and targeted practices to strengthen collaboration and drive production.
  • Coordinate multi-practice outreach strategies to support area-wide referral growth.
  • Regional Marketing Strategy, Campaign Execution & Budget Ownership
  • Partner with marketing leadership to develop integrated referral campaigns and regional initiatives.
  • Ensure each practice is equipped with appropriate, updated, and brand-consistent marketing materials.
  • Manage regional marketing budgets, evaluate ROI, and ensure resources are used effectively to support growth priorities.
  • Provide monthly budget updates and spend justification to operations and marketing leadership.
  • Data Analysis, KPI Tracking & Business Reviews
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators including referral patterns, conversion rates, new patient volume, and impact from outreach activities.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly or quarterly business reviews to doctors, Practice Managers, Area/Regional Managers, and divisional leadership.
  • Use business review findings to drive accountability and align future strategy.
  • Identify referral opportunities and recommend strategic adjustments based on data performance.
  • Digital Presence Oversight Across the Region
  • Ensure Google Business listings, website provider pages, and online practice information remain accurate, updated, and reflective of current services.
  • Coordinate with marketing and Area/Regional Manager to support region-wide social media content planning and digital reputation management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership Support
  • Work directly with operations leadership to align outreach efforts with production goals and capacity planning.
  • Communicate regional challenges, referral trends, and growth opportunities across the Area/Regional Manager and Practice Manager network.
  • Support new referring practices through coordinated onboarding and follow-up processes that ensure retention.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between external referral partners and multiple SDP endodontists and periodontists.
