About The Position

The role of Dental Liaison is a non-exempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties related to dental patient care directed by DAP/Dental Director. Responsible for performing dental education to parents & children. Making dental appointments for children at the appropriate site. Crossed trained with the Lead DAP Assistant and PSR.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Interacts in a friendly, professional manner with a wide range of patients, operations staff, physicians and other departments in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Knowledge of dental office protocols/procedures.
  • Ability to work well under pressure is essential.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with other physicians and peers.
  • Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures.
  • Familiarity with basic computer operations, EDR software.
  • Ability to work successfully with minimum supervision.
  • Must be able to work seated for several hours at a time to provide clinical services to patients.
  • Frequent movement within the office handling patient flow.
  • Ability to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance.
  • BLS/OSHA/HIPAA certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient appointment scheduling to maximize efficiency and ensure optimal utilization of clinical and administrative resources.
  • Verify Medicaid and insurance eligibility prior to scheduled appointments to ensure accurate patient coverage and benefits information.
  • Communicate appointment results, treatment recommendations, and follow-up instructions to parents and legal guardians in a professional, clear, and compassionate manner.
  • Assist families with scheduling dental appointments for all eligible children within the household while educating them on the importance of establishing and maintaining a dental home.
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate patient information and records within the Electronic Dental Record (EDR) system.
  • Prepare, compile, and maintain high-volume daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports to support program tracking, performance monitoring, and management review.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, to perform administrative, reporting, documentation, and communication functions.
  • Independently manage assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and adherence to established deadlines.
  • Maintain a minimum typing proficiency of 40 words per minute.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including printers, scanners, telephones, and other business machinery.
  • Conduct all duties in accordance with Kintegra Health policies, procedures, and standards outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and privacy requirements.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and community partners through exceptional customer service and professional communication.
