About The Position

National Dentex is hiring a Dental Lab Technician for NDX Rogers Dental Laboratory in Athens, Tennessee. This is a trainee position requiring no prior experience; hands-on paid training is provided. Skilled technicians are also welcome to apply. The technician participates in the finishing of removable dental products, following department manufacturing protocols and quality assurance procedures. The position is full-time, with regular hours of 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays. Hours may change from time to time.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, perception skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, using past experience and successful outcomes to guide future cases.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, technical support, management, and the training team.
Ability to learn and successfully complete in-house training and verifications.
Ability to move between finishing fabrication stations.
No experience required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience as a skilled dental lab technician.

Responsibilities

Read prescriptions, specifications, and preferences received from doctors.
Participate in the finishing function for removable products.
Remove appliances from duplicate models and dispose of excess material.
Smooth appliances using ultrasonic stone remover, shell blaster, and high-speed lathe equipment.
Polish appliances to a high shine using pumice and rag-wheel equipment.
Follow the department’s Technical Team Policies as standard manufacturing protocols.
Participate effectively in quality assurance at every case exchange.

Perform other duties as assigned.
