About The Position

The Dental Lab Technician Senior daily works schedule involves supervision of residents in the programs of prosthodontics and implant dentistry in all their activity involving a clinical laboratory. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years on the job and specialized training in dental technology required.
  • Proficient in verbal, technical skills and motor skills, eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity with good color perception.
  • Requires skill to utilize mechanical and artistic ability, understanding concepts presented by others.
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality.
  • Use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
  • Be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies.
  • Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate.
  • Accept direction.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.

  • Discern temperature variances through touch.
  • Current California Dental Laboratory Technician certificate required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum five years of experience in dental technology specialized in Crown and Bridge, Ceramics and Implantology preferred.
  • Spanish speaking ability preferred.
