About The Position
Dental Laboratory Locum Technician | Temporary Dental Technician | Part-Time Flexible Part-Time Opportunity for Dental Laboratory Technicians We are seeking an experienced Dental Laboratory Locum/Temporary Technician to provide hands-on technical support based on the needs of the practice laboratory. This is a part-time, temporary/locum position designed for a skilled Dental Lab Technician, Denture Technician, or Dental Laboratory Technician seeking flexible work opportunities. Job assignments, work locations, schedules, and hours will be determined by the Laboratory Operations Manager based on laboratory and practice needs.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician, Denture Technician, or Dental Lab Technician.
- Hands-on experience with dental prosthetic fabrication.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments and laboratory priorities.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable and flexible availability based on laboratory needs.
Nice To Haves
- Experience fabricating full and partial dentures from start to finish.
- Experience with denture waxing, processing, finishing, repairs, and relines.
- Same-day denture experience.
- Experience with removable dental prosthetics.
- Experience working in multiple areas of a dental laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Fabricating full and partial dentures.
- Setting denture teeth and completing denture wax-ups.
- Performing denture processing and finishing.
- Completing denture repairs and relines.
- Pouring and trimming denture models.
- Fabricating occlusal rims and custom trays.
- Polishing dentures and removable dental prosthetics.
- Supporting various stages of dental laboratory case production.
- Maintaining established laboratory quality and production standards.
- Following OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety procedures.
- Cross-training and assisting in other areas of the laboratory as needed.
- Working collaboratively with dental laboratory technicians and practice team members.
- Performing other duties as assigned by laboratory management.
