About The Position
We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team at Desoto Annex located in Arcadia, Florida. The Dental Hygienist performs oral hygiene treatment for offenders to include prophylaxis, curettage, and other hygienist procedures in a correctional setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Successful completion of a dental hygiene program required
- Florida Dental Hygienist license
- Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Operating radiographic equipment to obtain dental radiographs of patients
- Maintaining patient dental records
- Completing required reports/paperwork
- Providing personal oral hygiene education and instruction individually or in a group setting
