This position is responsible for performing prophylactic and preventive dental procedures for Oyate Health Center (OHC) patients of all ages, and advanced procedures for patients diagnosed with periodontal disease. The role involves planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating preventive oral health programs for various patient groups, including pediatric, diabetic, cancer, psychiatric, geriatric, alcoholic, and physically handicapped patients. Responsibilities include performing preliminary evaluations, reviewing patient histories, exposing and developing radiographs, performing prophylaxis, root planing, scaling, applying preventive agents, maintaining patient records, removing sutures and dressings, administering local anesthetics (if qualified), providing patient and post-operative care instructions, delivering clinical services and health education in schools, conducting community dental health clinics, and developing patient and staff training programs on dental hygiene. The position also requires compliance with HIPAA, performing related duties accurately and timely, maintaining regular attendance, effective communication, adherence to policies and regulations, and utilizing necessary systems and tools.
