About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential Full Time opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, EPES Dental Facility in Fort Meade, MD. Aspects of the practice include: Full-time employment opportunity Monday through Friday Paid time off Full Benefits
Requirements
- Minimum of twelve (12) months of specialized full-time clinical experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist within the preceding thirty-six (36) months following graduation.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as a dental hygienist in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- Current certification in dental radiography.
- Documented proof of advanced training and certification to administer local anesthesia, in accordance with the Local Anesthesia Administration by Dental Hygienists.
Responsibilities
- Highly proficient in oral prophylaxis
- Preliminary periodontal examinations (including diagnostic tests and radiographs)
- Oral health education
- Preparing treatment plans for plaque control
- Applying topical fluorides and desensitizing agents
- Planning, conducting, and evaluating preventive dental health programs
