About The Position

8118 Dental Professionals is a premier dental practice serving Austin, TX and the surrounding area. As part of the Austin community for almost 50 years, we are a privately owned practice and well known for our excellence in general and specialty level dentistry. Our patient base is growing and we need room for another part or full time hygienist. Locally owned, we are a fee for service practice looking for a compassionate, empathetic and motivated dental hygienist to join our team! Our hygiene department is a vital part of our practice, delivering general hygiene as well as advanced periodontal maintenance and care. Some of the practice's core values include teamwork, positive attitudes, and committing to continually growing. We believe in growth and improvement to better serve our patients. You must be able to work independently but also within a team. You will receive lots of support and help with taking care of your patients. We also provide training needed to fill in the gaps. We are a relationship based practice so talking with and getting to know your patients is strongly encouraged and the highlight of our day. We strongly believe in continuing education and provide many opportunities to grow in your profession. We use an air polishing system with a water warmer for patient comfort. We include laser and irrigation with all periodontal therapies. We have a health conscious patient base that is receptive to feedback and ways to improve. We take a whole body approach to dentistry and strive to make our patients healthier every single day. All regular hygiene appointments are 1 hour long with Dr. exams typically once per year. We want you to have ample time to give the exceptional care that our office truly believes in giving.
