Dental Hygienist
About The Position
Rockbridge Area Health Center (RAHC) is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team and contribute to our mission of promoting wellness and improving health outcomes in our community. As a Dental Hygienist, you will perform oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to dental patients of the center. You will also be responsible for providing appropriate oral health information to individuals and groups. As a member of the clinical team you will work cooperatively and effectively with the staff, utilizing a balanced approach which includes the perspectives of all disciplines involved in the Clinic’s health services. The hygienist will participate in and be an active member of the in-school and mobile dental programs.
Requirements
- Unrestricted license to practice Oral Hygiene in the Commonwealth of Virginia required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands on practicum required.
- Cannot be sanctioned under Medicaid or Medicare.
Responsibilities
- Perform oral hygiene and appropriate preventive services to dental patients of the center.
- Provide appropriate oral health information to individuals and groups.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with the staff, utilizing a balanced approach which includes the perspectives of all disciplines involved in the Clinic’s health services.
