About The Position
Acuna Dentistry in Winter Park, Florida is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and patient-centered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join their caring team. This is a part-time position, offering 2 days per week with a schedule of Tuesday from 6:45 am to 4:00 pm and Thursday from 6:45 am to 5:00 pm, including a one-hour lunch break. New graduates are welcome to apply. The practice emphasizes a supportive, collaborative team atmosphere and a patient-centric community approach, with opportunities for career growth and development.
Requirements
- Active Florida Dental Hygienist License
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
- Current BLS/CPR certifications
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
- 1 or more years of RDH clinical experience preferred
- Knowledgeable about perio health, comfortable with patient education, and competent with gum therapy
- Experience with dental practice software, Denticon preferred
- Seeking a new team collaborator that is open, positive and flexible

Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
- Screening patients and providing quality care during check-ups
- Educating patients in oral hygiene technique and working with patients and their oral hygiene care
- Reviewing patient's history and charting
- Administers prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing
- Documents area of existing restorations
- Use of X-ray
- Support the dentist with procedures as needed
