Under the general supervision of the staff dentists, provides patient care in accordance with the Iowa Dental Practice Act and the rules and regulations of the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners. Assesses patients presenting to the dental clinic for preventative services and completes diagnostic procedures as directed by the supervising dentist. Develops dental hygiene treatment plans and sequences treatment to enable patients with diverse backgrounds to receive comprehensive dental hygiene services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Current license to practice dental hygiene in the State of Iowa.

Responsibilities
