Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in the State of Illinois
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Strong teamwork and organizational abilities
  • Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity
  • Proficient with dental software and technology
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding patient care with a warm, compassionate chairside manner
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, dental health, and treatment options to support long-term care
  • Review and update patient health histories, medications, and conditions; accurately document all findings in patient records
  • Perform comprehensive hygiene procedures, including diagnostic X-rays, prophylaxis (adult and child), non-surgical periodontal therapy, adjunctive treatments, and co-diagnosis with the doctor
  • Complete periodontal charting per clinical guidelines
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Administer local anesthetic as needed
  • Perform polishing, fluoride treatments, and oral cancer screenings
  • Utilize intraoral cameras to enhance patient education and treatment planning
  • Clean, sterilize, and prepare operatories and equipment following proper protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with the entire dental team and assist with front office responsibilities when needed
