About The Position

Big Smile Dental is seeking an experienced Full Time Dental Hygienist in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This is a full-time opportunity with great hours, offering a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000. The role is within a patient-centered dental practice that emphasizes quality care and a collaborative team environment. New graduates are welcome to apply, and there is potential to discuss a part-time schedule if needed.

Requirements

• Active State of Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Current BLS/CPR certifications
• Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
• Knowledgeable about perio health and comfortable with patient education
• Experience with dental practice software
• Team Player - strong collaborator that is open, positive and flexible

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years of RDH clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with patients, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience
• Screening patients and providing quality care during check-ups
• Educating patients in oral hygiene technique and working with patients and their oral hygiene care
• Reviewing patient's history and charting
• Administers prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing
• Documents area of existing restorations
• Use of X-ray
• Support the dentist with procedures as needed
