About The Position

Provides prophylaxis treatments and education to patients. Evaluates patient, takes blood pressure, and reviews medical history prior to dental prophylaxis. Performs prophylaxis treatments, scaling and root planning, and periodontal probing. Documents overall oral hygiene in the patient chart for review by the dentist and ensures proper billing procedures. Explains procedure to patients/families and provides teaching instructions and or materials for home care.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene License.
• CPR – American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of dental hygienist experience preferred.
