About The Position

Prairie Band Health Service is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide exceptional healthcare services at Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Healthcare Center. This role involves performing a range of dental hygiene duties to ensure patient oral health and comfort.

Requirements

• Must have successfully completed an accredited dental hygiene program recognized by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
• Possess and maintain a current, active, full, and unrestricted licenses to practice dental hygiene in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Have three (3) years’ experience
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Responsibilities

• Performing full range periodontal therapy including supra and sub-gingival prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance and scaling/root planning.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, nutrition, and oral cancer prevention, while advocating patient comfort and effective treatment strategies.
• Take appropriate radiographs, perform periodontal charting and provide chairside exam assistance with dentists.
• Clerical duties of maintaining patient records, and scheduling appointments.
• Instrument reprocessing following applicable guidelines and service unit policies.
