About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Dental Hygienist Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality preventive oral care. In this role, you will assist the dental hygienist with clinical procedures, ensure efficient patient flow, and help maintain a clean and organized treatment environment.
Requirements
- Experience in a dental setting (supporting a hygienist or dentist)
- Knowledge of dental procedures and infection control practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if applicable)
- 1–2 years of relevant experience
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with dental software systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Completion of a dental assisting or hygiene support program
- Dental Assistant Certification or equivalent clinical certification
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment areas, instruments, and materials for hygiene procedures
- Assist during cleanings, scaling, and other preventive treatments
- Set up and break down operatories in compliance with infection control protocols
- Record patient vitals and medical history as required
- Sterilize and organize dental instruments according to standards
- Escort and prepare patients for treatment
- Provide oral hygiene instructions and post-care guidance
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting
- Monitor and restock hygiene supplies
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
