About The Position

PrimeCare Benefits Group is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant to join their team at the Durango Health Center in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves assisting the dental hygienist during patient treatment and preventive procedures, maintaining a clean and stocked treatment room, sterilizing instruments, taking digital radiographs, preparing patients for treatment, documenting clinical notes, educating patients on oral hygiene, maintaining supplies, and providing outstanding customer service. The position is located within the Culinary Health Center, which is committed to delivering exceptional, 5-star patient experiences.

Requirements

Current CPR/BLS certification.
Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and radiography.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service.

Experience assisting a dental hygienist preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the dental hygienist during patient treatment and preventive procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are fully stocked and sanitized.
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
Take digital radiographs in accordance with Nevada regulations.
Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the visit.
Enter clinical notes and assist with chart documentation as directed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
Maintain supplies and equipment in accordance with office protocols.
Provide outstanding customer service while creating a welcoming environment for every patient.
Support the dental team with additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
