About The Position

Lumio Dental is a dental partnership organization dedicated to preserving the integrity of private practice, serving patients in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. They are looking for a Dental Hygiene Assistant who will ensure patients are comfortable, perform patient care, office, and laboratory duties. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, sterilizing instruments, setting up trays, preparing materials, scheduling appointments, handling billing and payments, completing insurance forms, maintaining records, and performing computer tasks. Requirements

Must be comfortable with performing tasks on a computer.

Responsibilities

Ensure patients are as comfortable as possible in the dental chair.
Perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.
Prepare patients for dental hygiene procedures.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments.
Set up instrument trays.
Prepare materials.
Schedule appointments.
Prepare bills and receive payment for dental services.
Complete insurance forms.
Maintain records.
Perform tasks on a computer.
Expose dental diagnostic X-Rays.
Record treatment information in patient records.
Take and record medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients.
Polish teeth, using dental instruments including cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
Assist hygienist with perio charting and doctor’s exam.
Assist hygienist in Scaling and Root Planing Procedures.
Apply protective coating of fluoride to teeth.
Placement of sealants as prescribed by dental hygienist and dentist.
Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dental hygienists and dentists.
