About The Position

Our practice is a private, patient-centered San Francisco practice where clinical integrity is our highest priority. We believe in providing excellent care without compromise, which means we refuse to rush a procedure just to stay "on the clock." We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator who shares this commitment—someone who understands that administrative precision and a calm front-office presence are vital to building patient trust. The Role: Patient Advocate & Operational Lead. You are the heart of our front office. Your role is to balance technical expertise with a warm, empathetic approach. This is a fully on-site role where you will be the primary point of contact for our patients and a vital partner to our clinical team.

Requirements

2+ Years of Dental Front Office experience (Required).
A solid understanding of dental procedures to explain them clearly and empathetically to patients.
The ability to stay calm, kind, and professional even when clinical care becomes unpredictable.
A natural inclination toward accuracy in billing, coding, and scheduling.

Nice To Haves

High proficiency in Open Dental and Dexis (Highly Preferred).

Responsibilities

Manage the lobby with grace, keeping patients informed and comfortable when a complex clinical case runs us behind schedule.
Perform thorough insurance breakdowns and verify benefits with a minimum 95% accuracy rate.
Utilize Open Dental to manage the Treatment Planner and accounts.
Ensure Dexis digital images are correctly organized and attached to claims for seamless reimbursement.
Manage the "ebb and flow" of a busy clinical day by understanding the rhythm of Doctor Time vs. Assistant Time.
Maintain a productive schedule that allows the clinical team to focus on the patient in the chair.
