About The Position

Dandy is seeking a highly consultative Field Trainer for Southern California (Los Angeles or San Diego metro areas) to deliver impactful, in-person training. This role is field-based, requiring up to 85% travel nationwide, and focuses on helping dental practices adopt intraoral scanning and digital workflows with confidence. The trainer will act as a trusted clinical advisor, assisting clinicians, operational leaders, and executive stakeholders in adopting new technology, improving clinical performance, and accelerating early success. This position combines clinical training expertise with operational execution and post-training analysis to provide measurable value at the intersection of training, technology, and practice growth.

Requirements

3+ years of experience delivering clinical training in digital dentistry or dental technology.
Strong familiarity with intraoral scanning and digital workflows.
Experience training cohorts of up to ten assistants or staff at a time.
Willingness and enthusiasm to travel up to 85% to deliver in-practice training and support.
Located near a major airport to support frequent national travel.
Must be within 60-min drive (JFK, EWR, LGA) - Note: This seems to be a conflicting requirement with the Southern California location.
Comfortable partnering with senior leaders, clinicians, and staff across roles to influence behavior and drive adoption.
Comfortable operating independently in the field, adjusting plans in real-time based on practice dynamics and needs.
3+ years managing training logistics, readiness assessments, and multi-practice coordination in fast-paced environments.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to adjust tone and approach based on audience.
Passion for helping practices succeed, with a solutions-oriented approach to onboarding, training, and adoption.

Responsibilities

Lead high-touch, in-person trainings to support doctors and staff in adopting intraoral scanning and digital workflows.
Coach teams based on live observation, reinforcing best practices and adapting in real time to meet the practice’s goals and maturity level.
Drive early case submission during training by removing blockers, reinforcing clinical urgency, and building confidence during and immediately after training.
Partner with clinicians and practice leaders to reinforce scanning habits and support early adoption.
Monitor outcomes in the first 30 days and surface targeted coaching opportunities to accelerate success.
Share field insights to inform scalable resources, improve onboarding, and strengthen future trainings.
Assess readiness across clinical workflows, team structure, and equipment to proactively surface blockers or risks.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the right resources, messaging, and tools are in place before training day.
Customize training strategies based on practice size, complexity, and clinical goals.
