About The Position

The University of Louisville School of Dentistry is seeking a Dental Clinic Supervisor for the Elizabethtown - Richard L. Miller Oral Health Clinic. The primary function of this Dental Clinic Supervisor position is to oversee the operations and supervise the clinical staff of the Richard L. Miller Oral Health Clinic. This position is also responsible for providing dental case management services to people living with HIV that are referred to by participating agencies. This work will occasionally require travel and thus time away from the Miller Clinic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years experience in a dental setting/office
  • Supervisor experience a plus
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and difficult situations with intentionality and finesse

Responsibilities

  • Dental Care coordination for patients receiving dental care at the Miller Clinic.
  • Responsible for oversight, supervision, and instruction of front desk employees, back office chairside assistants, and a hygienist.
  • Assist with referrals and correspondence with private dental offices and community offices.
  • Participate in Regional CQI meetings as well as hosting client and agency meetings.
  • Assist with tracking expenditures submitted to the Ryan White Part B contract and ensuring patient enrollment in Part B program.
  • Responsible for overseeing ordering office and clinical supplies for the Miller Clinic.
  • Act as a point of contact between office maintenance, dental supply representatives, cleaning companies, and landlord.
  • Primary contact between Miller Clinic and ULSD departments as needed for clinically functioning.
  • Schedule and contribute to staff meetings and prepare meeting agenda in advance.
  • Ensure hygiene and dental students are provided with proper oversight by dental faculty.
  • Ensure patient-centered care is being provided in a professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
