About The Position
Prairie Band Health Service is seeking Dental Assistants to provide exceptional healthcare services at Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Healthcare Center. This role involves performing full-scope clinical duties, including patient check-in, vital signs, radiographs, and chairside treatment. Additionally, the position requires infection control duties, instrument reprocessing, and clerical tasks such as maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments. Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma.
- If unlicensed, must have five (5) years of experience.
- Maintain dental radiographer training and license.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Licensed/registered dental assistant with certification from an accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-scope clinical duties following appropriate state licensing and clinical policies.
- Check in patients, room patients, and take vital signs.
- Take radiographs.
- Provide appropriate stress-reduction techniques to anxious patients.
- Provide high-quality, attentive chairside treatment such as suction, instrument passing, and procedure setup and take-down.
- Perform infection control duties, including instrument reprocessing following applicable guidelines and service unit policies.
- Perform clerical duties of maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments.
