About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide services at the Viera VA Clinic in Melbourne, FL. This is a full-time opportunity, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. We offer consistent and predictable income, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. Requirements

Successfully completed a one (1) year dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant.
Competent in using four-handed dentistry, assisting with specialty procedures such as oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics and implant placement and restorations.
A Dental Radiological Certificate.
A current BLS and or/CPR card.

Responsibilities

Perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
Responsible for receiving routing patients, recording information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing patients with education material related to their care.
Following surgical procedures, provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions.
Instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.
