About The Position
Prairie Band Health Service is seeking a Dental Assistants to provide exceptional healthcare services at Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Healthcare Center. This role involves performing full-scope clinical duties, including patient check-in, rooming, taking vital signs, taking radiographs, providing stress-reduction techniques, and chairside treatment. The position also includes infection control duties, instrument reprocessing, maintaining patient records, and scheduling appointments.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma.
- If assistant is unlicensed, they must have five (5) years’ experience and maintain dental radiographer training and license.
- Assistants without radiographer license will not be an acceptable candidate.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Licensed/registered dental assistant with certification from an accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-scope clinical duties following appropriate state licensing and clinical policies.
- Check in patients.
- Room patients.
- Take vital signs.
- Take radiographs.
- Provide appropriate stress-reduction techniques to anxious patients.
- Provide high-quality, attentive chairside treatment such as suction, instrument passing, and procedure setup and take-down.
- Perform infection control duties including instrument reprocessing following applicable guidelines and service unit policies.
- Perform clerical duties of maintaining patient records, and scheduling appointments.
