Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred (not required)
  • Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but we’re open to training the right candidate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
  • Passion for patient care and making a difference

Responsibilities

  • Chairside Support: Assist dentists and hygienists during a variety of clinical procedures.
  • Ensure smooth, efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
  • Clinical Preparation & Sterilization: Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
  • Maintain strict infection control standards by sterilizing equipment and sanitizing workspaces.
  • Patient Care & Experience: Provide compassionate, patient-focused support to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Educate and motivate patients as needed to support overall care.
  • Documentation & Records: Accurately maintain patient charts, records, and treatment notes.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and compliant.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Monitor, order, and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Track inventory and ensure availability of necessary materials.
  • Compliance & Team Support: Follow guidelines set by the American Dental Association (ADA), Missouri Dental Board, and organizational policies.
  • Support the team with additional duties as needed.
