Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Knowledge of dental procedures, radiography, and infection control protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.

Nice To Haves

• dental assisting certification preferred
• Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) in the direct supervision of primary care dental services to patients.
• Help patients resolve minor difficulties, answer their questions, and provide directions as authorized by the dentist or dental hygienist.
• Serve as a chair-side assistant to the dentist or dental hygienist during procedures.
• Prepare operatory rooms for patient treatment following CHC protocols and the directions of dental professionals.
• Expose and develop dental radiographs in compliance with state regulations, laws, and CHC Dental department protocols.
• Perform delegated and directed independent procedures to support dental care delivery.
