About The Position

We are seeking a Dental Assistant with orthodontic experience to join our team. The Dental Assistant will assist orthodontists in clinical and administrative tasks, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, taking X-rays, educating patients, and providing general dental assistance. This position offers part-time hours, with the potential for full-time hours in the future.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
• X-ray certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities

Nice To Haves

• Orthodontic assisting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up treatment areas for orthodontic procedures
• Support orthodontists during patient examinations and treatments
• Take and process dental X-rays
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene practices
• Schedule patient appointments and manage dental records
• Handle administrative tasks like billing and insurance processing
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
