Requirements

One year of experience in a dental office or clinic; or Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assisting certificate program; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Successful completion of the Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) Exam as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist the Dentist during procedures by preparing tools, charting findings, and managing suction and irrigation
Set up and break down workspaces, sterilize instruments, and mix materials for dental use
Expose, process, mount, and review radiographs for clarity and diagnostic quality
Take dental impressions and prepare diagnostic casts for evaluation
Organize, file, and retrieve dental records in line with required guidelines
Explain preventative and post-procedure care in a clear and supportive manner
