About The Position

Join our dynamic and thriving dental practice as a Dental Assistant at Great Expressions Dental Centers. We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to positively impact our patients' oral health. This is a part-time position, working on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a fast-paced environment with new challenges and opportunities daily.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Meet state requirements for dental assisting, which may include certification and/or formal training to expose X-rays
• Meet state requirements for Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification (where applicable)
• Meet state requirements for CPR Certification (where applicable)
• Meet relevant state board certifications/permits (e.g., FDOH Permit, BORID, TSBDE, where applicable)

Nice To Haves

• Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education is preferred
• Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean and organized environment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring smooth workflow
• Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately
