About The Position

Gentle Dental Northgate in Medford is looking for a full-time Dental Assistant to work alongside their Exodontist, a dentist focused on tooth extractions and surgical procedures. This role is ideal for a Dental Assistant who enjoys a faster-paced clinical environment, has an interest in oral surgery and extractions, or wants the opportunity to grow their skills while working closely with an experienced doctor. Gentle Dental values their teammates and aims to create an environment where people enjoy coming to work and have opportunities to grow. This is a specialized Dental Assistant role where you can build surgical skills.

Requirements

• Certificate from a Dental Assisting Program
• Valid healthcare provider CPR/BLS certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience assisting with extractions or oral surgery
• EFDA certification
• X-ray certification
• Bilingual Spanish
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), when applicable

Responsibilities

• Assisting during routine and surgical extractions
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical setups
• Supporting the doctor throughout procedures
• Helping patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
• Following infection control and sterilization protocols
• Working closely with the clinical team to keep patient care running smoothly
