About The Position

Nevada Dental Benefits Ltd. is seeking a full-time dental assistant to support the delivery of patient-centered care in our dental office located in Las Vegas, NV. We are looking for a dental assistant that has a desire to motivate patients and encourage excellent oral health as an important part of overall health and wellbeing. We are a team of health professionals motivated by providing excellent care and customer service.

Requirements

Two year's Dental Assistant experience
Certificate from an accredited dental assisting program
CPR Certification
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Nice To Haves

Practice Management Software experience

Responsibilities

Prepare the operatory appropriately for exam or dental procedures to be performed
Prepare the patient for their visit with the dentist while offering excellent customer service
Assisting the dentist chairside
Deliver patient education about disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment as directed by the dentist or hygienist.
Assist with caries management protocols including providing fluoride treatment and individualized oral hygiene instructions and patient education.
Expose and scan radiographs as prescribed by the attending dentist
Lab work as assigned
Document appropriate clinical notes in the electronic health record.
Assist with disease management projects as assigned, which may include participation in Health Fairs or patient outreach.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Attending Dentist, Chief Clinical Officer, or Dental Practice Manager.
Compliance with CDC guidelines for infection control and instrument processing.
Compliance with office OSHA protocols including the Blood Borne Pathogens Standard.
