We are expanding our team to serve the needs of our community in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area! Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce a Dental Assistant position for our Laurie Clinic. COMC is a Missouri non-profit, federally qualified health center that has served Pulaski, Laclede, Camden and Miller counties for over 40 years. COMC Dental is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing team. Dental assisting experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for patient care. The Dental Assistant plays an important role in supporting providers, ensuring efficient patient flow, maintaining clinical standards, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to learn and grow within the dental profession.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dental assisting experience.
  • Dental Assistant certification(s).
  • Nitrous Oxide certification.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
  • Experience with electronic dental records.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patient care.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and dental information.
  • Expose and process dental radiographs (as permitted by certification and state regulations).
  • Provide patient education regarding oral health, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
  • Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols.
  • Ensure operatories are stocked, organized, and ready for patient care.
  • Assist with scheduling, charting, and documentation as needed.
  • Support team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
