About The Position

Baystate Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant in Chicopee, Massachusetts, to support its clinical team. Requirements

1 year on-the-job-experience
X-Ray certification - Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law
Prior dental assisting experience

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
Help dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
