Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling) Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Requirements

• CDA or RDA
• X-ray certification
• No previous experience required but must have Dental Assistant certification

Nice To Haves

• Sealant polishing & Nitrous Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
