About The Position

Solterra Dentistry, a practice in Phoenix, AZ, has been serving families for over three decades. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting program (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • Current Dental Assistant Registration/Certification.
  • Active Arizona X-Ray / Radiography Certification.
  • Active CPR / BLS Certification.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, clinical instruments, digital radiography, intraoral scanning, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
  • An eager, motivated, and fast learner with a warm, empathetic patient manner.
  • Dependable, punctual, and excited to be a true team player!

Responsibilities

  • Assist doctors during exams, restorative fillings, crowns, extractions, and specialty procedures.
  • Perform digital 3D scans for crowns, bridges, partials, and dentures.
  • Capture high-quality dental X-rays and intraoral photographs.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize and disinfect instruments, and strictly maintain OSHA and infection-control standards.
  • Warmly greet patients, update medical histories, guide them through treatment plans, and provide clear pre- and post-op care instructions.
  • Record accurate treatment notes and billing codes in practice management software, monitor inventory, order supplies, and assist the front desk with phone calls or check-ins when needed.
