About The Position

Matthews Family Dentistry is currently seeking a Dental Assistant for accelerated Hygiene to join our growing practice. We are looking for a motivated, patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of active dental assisting experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting dental hygienists preferred
• Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist hygienist during patient care and periodontal procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms before and after patient appointments
• Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Reviewing medical histories and updating patient records
• Providing patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Maintaining inventory and stocking hygiene treatment rooms
• Ensuring compliance with infection control and OSHA guidelines
• Take impressions, scans, or intra oral photos
• Schedule recall and follow up appointments
• Confirm treatment plans and patient understanding
