About The Position

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Full-time Dental Assistant for their White Center Dental Clinic. The Dental Assistant will support the dental provider in delivering dental procedures as permitted by the WA State Dental Practice Act. This role involves assisting in various procedures including Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery. Key duties include managing Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), conducting spore testing, maintaining an inventory of dental supplies, assisting in training new Dental Assistants, and organizing schedules to create checklists for dental procedure maintenance.

Requirements

Valid WA State license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Organizational skills
Dental record experience
Familiarity with the utilization of computers
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to communicate, read and write in English
Ability to interpret common written material about dentistry

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English/Spanish
Previous ortho experience

Responsibilities

Assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act.
Assist provider in Restorative, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery procedures, and any other procedures allowed by the WA Dental Practice Act.
Maintain proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS).
Maintain spore test records.
Manage inventory of dental supplies.
Assist in training new Dental Assistants.
Organize schedules to generate check lists for maintenance of dental procedures.
