About The Position

Smile Maryland, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Full-time Dental Assistant in Baltimore and Prince George's, MD and neighboring area. to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school. Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment, working parents and anyone who wants to make a difference in the dental field. Smile Programs visits kids throughout Baltimore City and Prince George's County in the familiar surroundings of their schools, bringing much needed dental care to kids who may not otherwise have access. Smile Programs is devoted to the ideal that all children deserve high-quality dental care. Using the latest technology in portable equipment, a team of dedicated dental professionals provide preventive and restorative dental care to children right at school. Our flexibility and expertise allow us to transform classrooms, auditoriums, gyms or other suitable areas into fully functional dental offices for the day.

Requirements

Must meet State requirements to operate X rays
CPR certification card
Working experience as a Dental Assistant
Digital X-ray Imaging experience
Patient Charting
Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to schools in nearby counties
Works well with children
Team player and able to work on a small team
Setting up and breaking down equipment: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
