Requirements

  • Current Kansas dental assisting credentials required for duties performed (as applicable by state law).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification, or the ability to obtain prior to your start date.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, sterilization protocols, OSHA, and HIPAA standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient care.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while providing an exceptional patient experience.
  • Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment (e.g. RDA, CDA, EFDA, state registration, or equivalent as required by the state)

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and create a positive, comfortable experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for a wide range of dental procedures.
  • Assist the doctor during restorative, preventive, and specialty procedures while ensuring efficient, high-quality patient care.
  • Take dental radiographs and other diagnostic records as permitted by state regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Follow infection prevention, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Support teammates throughout the office to help create a seamless experience for every patient.
  • Preparing patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
  • Helping to educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
  • Improving oral health, solving dental challenges, and bettering smiles every day
