Dental Assistant - Entry Level
About The Position
Aspen Dental is hiring an entry-level Dental Assistant. No dental experience or certification is required. The role includes paid, hands-on training through a partnership with the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), with a path toward becoming a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA). The Dental Assistant works alongside a dental team to support treatment procedures, infection control, patient charting, and office operations, helping provide care to patients in the community. Schedules vary by independently owned and operated location. Part-time, full-time, and flexible scheduling may be available. Aspen Dental offers paid CDA and radiology and safety certification training, paid time off and holidays, health and vision coverage, a 401(k) savings plan, continuing education, and paid annual CDA certification renewal after certification is earned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain radiology and safety certification within the required timeframe for the state of practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with patients of different ages and backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist during a variety of treatment procedures.
- Set up and break down the operatory after treatment.
- Manage infection control, including preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Support patient charting for doctors.
- Perform office tasks as necessary.
- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide patient care.
