About The Position

PCHC’s Dental Center is seeking an experienced per-diem Dental Assistant to join their team. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work alongside skilled providers and care teams, with opportunities to support multiple PCHC dental locations based on availability and clinic needs. The PCHC Dental Center is a well-established practice with 43 operatories, utilizing modern technology such as digital X-rays and paperless dental records. They offer comprehensive care including preventive and specialty services like restorative care, oral surgery, fixed prosthetics, orthodontics, and walk-in care. The program is recognized for its high-quality care and team-based environment, committed to exceptional patient care and a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• Experience as a Dental Assistant required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Radiology license required, or must obtain within 6 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program or completion of a DA prep course/certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient chairside support to dentists during a variety of procedures.
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care and help create a positive patient experience.
• Take and develop radiographs and perform other permitted clinical duties, including suture removal and temporary fillings when appropriate.
• Follow all safety, sterilization, and infection control requirements, including OSHA standards.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and prepared operatories and help maintain dental equipment.
• Work closely with providers and clinic staff to support patient care, scheduling, and accurate record keeping.
• Provide coverage across PCHC dental locations as needed, adapting to different teams, schedules, and clinic environments.
