Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of chairside dental assisting experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Commitment to teamwork, safety, and high-quality patient care
- Candidates must be current on—or willing to obtain—required immunizations and screenings, including Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, annual flu vaccine, and TB screening.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Dental radiography certification and expanded duties experience
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and patients for care
- Take and process dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
- Educate patients about treatment plans and home care
- Perform expanded duties, including coronal polishing, fluoride application, impressions, temporary crowns, and night guard delivery (as permitted by certification)
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Help manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and support laboratory processes
- Assist with inventory, ordering supplies, and training new team members
