About The Position

Speedway Health & Dental Center - 6020 Crawfordsville Road, Suite 102, Indianapolis, In 46224 Pay starting at $20/hour. What you’ll do as a Dental Assistant at HealthNet: As directed by the dentist, assists dentist during dental examinations and treatment, and assists in scheduling appointments. Greet and welcomes patients, escort patients to proper chair. Perform preliminary procedures such as taking x-rays, review patients health history, pain scale assessment and taking blood pressure. Take digital dental x-ray's including panoramic, bitewings, periapical, and occlusal. Sterilization of operatory chairs, consoles, equipment, and instruments. Complete referrals to specialists and consent forms. When you’ll work as a Dental Assistant at HealthNet: Full-Time Mondays: 10am-7pm with lunch scheduled at 2-3pm Tuesday - Fridays: 8am-5pm with lunch scheduled at 12-1pm Job responsibilities listed above is a summary and does not include other tasks requested by dentist or clinic manager. Requirements

  • Requires High school Diploma.
  • Maintain a DANB certification.
  • Requires State of Indiana X-ray license.
  • Requires CPR certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service skills and positive attitude toward patients and team.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to experience repeated and prolonged standing, walking, sitting, bending and squatting is required.
  • Ability to life, push, and or pull equipment, light to moderately heavy weight is required.
  • Must be able to position and move patients following safety standards.
  • Must have good eyesight with or without correction (20/30).
  • Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate effectively in the English language by both orally and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from Accredited Dental Assisting program preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish Highly Preferred.
  • Appreciation and understanding of Hispanic/Latino & Burmese communities.
